Budda Baker is a safety who currently plays for the Arizona Cardinals in the NFL. The 27-year-old was drafted in the year in 2017 and since then has been loyal to his team.

Like many other players in NFL, Baker was excited about the 2023 NFL Draft and watched it keenly. Although he was content with the whole draft process, some things stood out to him.

The Cardinals‘ safety couldn’t handle the inappropriate behavior displayed by Lukas Van Ness’ father when he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers. Van Ness showed up with his family and girlfriend for the draft. As the family celebrated his father was caught slapping the backside of his girlfriend Frankie Kmet.

Social media erupted after the incident and many called out the father for his disgusting behavior. Baker was taken aback by the act and decided to go on Twitter and call him out.

“Ok ok ok… look, if my dad touched my lady ass on draft night or anytime, I’m checkin him!!! ESPECIALLY if he still with my mom. Maybe that’s just me though, I didn’t grow up wit my pops so maybe that it… ?? aye also! There’s nothing wrong with being a day 2 guy!! Just work!!” Budda Baker stated on Twitter.

Baker grew up without a father therefore, the Cardinals’ safety shared his concern regarding the situation. However, he didn’t take the name of Lukas Van Ness or his father in his tweet.

Budda Baker has requested a trade away from the Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have received a trade request from Budda Baker. The safety has been playing in Arizona since being drafted. However, now he wants a change to be imminent.

Baker is one of the best defensive players in the NFL and wants to get paid like one. If the Cardinals can’t manage to do that then he will likely be traded to another team.

The Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers are strong contenders to land the safety. Surely, the meeting between Lukas Van Ness and Budda Baker will be extremely awkward once they meet.

The Cardinals’ safety is currently waiting for a suitable response from his team. On the other hand, not many inquiries are made about his availability from other teams. Baker is an extremely talented safety who works really hard and will be an asset to any team he decides to play for.
