The USC Trojans led by their Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Caleb Williams recently secured a dominant victory against the Nevada Wolf Pack. They are now 2-0 in the 2023 college football season. After leading the Trojans to a dominant victory, QB Williams took a day off on Sunday to witness Lionel Messi playing for Inter Miami alongside some famous celebrities, including the NBA icon LeBron James.

The young QB Caleb Williams shared a series of images of him attending the game between Los Angeles FC and Messi’s Inter Miami on his Instagram story. Caleb surprisingly rooted for the Miami team as he sported Inter Miami’s pink jersey and matched it with pink sneakers. “Had to do it,” wrote Caleb as the caption, possibly implying he had to root for the Miami team because of Messi.

Williams also shared a boomerang with the caption, “Messi just scored.” Messi didn’t score in the game, but he did have a couple of assists. In the end, Messi’s Inter Miami won the game 3-1, but this is the second straight game the Argentinian has gone scoreless in the tournament.

Nonetheless, Williams wasn’t the only famous person in attendance to witness the magician in action. Plenty of stars were at the BMO Stadium to see Lionel Messi play the game. LeBron James, Jay-Z, Selena Gomez, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Holland, and Mookie Betts were some of the biggest names that were at the stadium.

Messi has been attracting a lot of new viewership to Major League Soccer ever since he arrived. And his first game in Los Angeles saw a multitude of stars decorate the stands of the BMO stadium.

The star QB Caleb Williams’ second year as the USC Trojans’ starting QB has been off to a great start. He has thrown for 9 touchdowns in just 2 games and is looking to create history.

Williams is a frontrunner for the 2023 Heisman Memorial Trophy award. He has already won it last season and if he wins it again this year, he will become one of the only two players to win multiple Heisman awards and the only QB to win the prestigious award in consecutive years. The legendary Ohio State running back Archie Griffin is the only other to have won the award twice.

Nonetheless, if Williams keeps up his game and enters the 2024 NFL Draft he will be the consensus number 1 pick of the draft. He has been compared to Patrick Mahomes by the scouts and he has shown the shades of the Kansas City Chiefs QB in his game.
