Joshua Dobbs has already won the Comeback Player of the Year honors in the minds of all fans. The quarterback has played for many teams since entering the NFL in 2018. He started off for the Pittsburgh Steelers before going to the Tennessee Titans and, subsequently, the Arizona Cardinals.

However, it seems the quarterback’s true potential was unlocked after he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings following Kirk Cousins‘ season-ending injury.

Rob Josh Dobbs is killing.

You know a person is really impressed when they take your full name. He goes on to add,

As good as a player he is on the field, he is better off (the field).

Heyward brings up his observations of Josh Dobbs from back when they were teammates. The quarterback conducted himself in the most professional and competitive manner.

Joshua Dobbs has Vikings fans praying for him to stay on the team even after Kirk Cousins returns

Irrespective of the fact that he was getting playtime or not, Dobbs was always prepared. He continues to work and patiently waits his turn. That is exactly what happened.

I saw the way Josh would prepare, go into meetings, how he would talk, be open, and just really take advantage of scout team reps.

Despite having under a week to familiarize himself with the Vikings’ offensive playbook, Dobbs managed to do it with relative ease. He had HC Kevin O’Connell in his ears, breaking every play down so that he could understand, but this did not hinder his performance. Dobbs, in just 2 games has had 426 yards passing and thrown for 3 touchdowns while rushing for 2.

Cam Heyward goes on to add,

Josh would prepare his tail off, he would try to dice up the defense when he got a chance to and now we're seeing that he's having a lot more success with it.

One cannot hate Josh Dobbs. His story is nothing short of inspiring and goes to show that if you remain patient and do your job when the opportunity presents itself in front of you, nothing can stop you from going off.
