Since Cam Newton began his podcast journey, he has appeared to land himself in Skip Bayless‘ bad books. The veteran FOX Sports analyst and the former NFL quarterback are constantly at odds with each other.

Recently, Bayless appeared on his podcast, The Skip Bayless Show, and challenged Cam Newton to a one-on-one basketball showdown. It wasn’t in the heat of the moment, but rather, certain events led to the announcement.

On March 8, when the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Indiana Pacers in a close 113-111 game, Anthony Edwards saved the Wolves by blocking Aaron Nesmith from stealing the win. Edwards jumped 40 inches, hitting his head partially on the rim.

Edwards’ heroics failed to please Skip Bayless, who claimed it was a “dad block.”. Newton did not appreciate the tone of the 72-year-old and called him out with an NSFW slang.

Since it’s so easy, you do it. Let me tell you something: Fu*k the block, hit your head on the orange.
Cam Newton said.

Instead of complying with the request, Bayless threw the ball in the former Carolina Panthers QB’s court. He proposed a three-point game and bet that if he won, Newton would never publicly speak again about someone’s ability to shoot a basketball.

The 34-year-old responded with a wager of his own during Friday’s episode of the 4th & 1 podcast. Newton said if he won, Bayless would never criticize an athlete because he can’t do what they can do.

If I win, If I win, Skip, you could never talk about another athlete or do something that you couldn't do
Cam Newton said.

That was one part of Newton’s demand as the prize for his win. His second wish is definitely an eyebrow-raiser for Skip Bayless. Newton said he will appear on Undisputed, but not as the guest but as the host, taking Bayless’ role, if he wins the challenge. He was even ready to send his lawyers to FOX.

I can have my lawyers send over a contract, and we can go from there. As a matter of fact, Skip, I can give you one better. Bring me on, undisputed. Let's trade seats. I will stay and do 4th & 1, but if I beat him, no! It's when I beat him. I am an athlete because I can really play sports.
Cam Newton ranted.

Perhaps it wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Undisputed’s viewership is at an all-time low, even after signing big names such as Richard Sherman, Keyshawn Johnson, and Michael Irvin. Newton has a massive presence on the internet, which could be the boon FOX needs to revive the show.
