Patrick Mahomes is currently the best QB in the NFL. The 27-year-old has created a legacy for himself in just 6 seasons in the league. He won the NFL MVP and also the Super Bowl MVP award this season.
The two-time Super Bowl winner is now on his way to challenging the legendary QB Tom Brady for the GOAT title. All these accomplishments were possible because Mahomes lives his life with great discipline and has some non-negotiables that have helped him succeed in his career.
Chiefs backup QB Chad Henne recently made interesting revelations about Mahomes’ life and how superstition plays an important part in his quest for glory.
Henne mentioned that Mahomes does his training and goes about his days in clear detail and has also written everything down. However, the most sensational part of his interview was when Henne revealed that Mahomes wears the same underwear for every NFL game he’s a part of.
“He has a baseball background, so he has to have a certain thing each and every day,” Chad Henne stated in a podcast episode with Adam Schefter. “He comes in, he does his work. His notes are written out a certain way. Same pair of underwear, which probably not a lot of people know, on game day. He’s been wearing it since I’ve been part of it.”

Mahomes is a bit different from all the other NFL QBs, that’s what makes him the best. Chad Henne revealed Mahomes’ work ethic and how it makes him different from everyone else in the league.
“His preparation is unbelievable, how he goes about it,” Henne said further of Mahomes. “He knows exactly how many plays are in each section on [head coach] Andy Reid’s call sheet. If it’s off by one play, it’s going to be mentioned that week. He dives into it deeply, and it’s fun to watch each and every day.”
The Chiefs QB is on his way to starting a dynasty in Kansas, just like Brady did in New England. The Chiefs have won two Super Bowls with him in charge and will be looking to win some more.
Patrick Mahomes has always been a naturally gifted athlete who was proficient in many sports. However, the young athlete chose football as his favored sport and is on his way to changing the game permanently.
