“STEROID boy”: Charvarius Ward HUMILIATES DeAndre Hopkins by bashing him for his PED usage
DeAndre Hopkins and Charvarius Ward
The San Francisco 49ers dominated the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football as they beat the team 38-10 in the game that took place in New Mexico City. Despite the failure of the Cardinals to close the game out, DeAndre Hopkins, the star wideout for the Cardinals balled out.
He had a total of 9 receptions for a total of 91 yards against the 49ers’ defense. For the majority of the game, he was closely guarded by Charvarius Ward, the cornerback from the 49ers. The two continued to go at it throughout the game, trash-talking one another.
After the game, Charvarius Ward decided to call Hopkins out despite having beaten his team. He spoke to Greg Papa and Tim Ryan on KNBR 680, elaborated on the matchup with Hopkins, and had this to say about the Pro Bowl wideout.
DeAndre Hopkins claimed ignorance about his PED usage:
“D Hop, he thinks he’s a tough guy, He thinks he still one of the best receivers in the league and he’s really not. He was trying to talk noise and talk hard all game. We’re not scared of him. He thought we were scared of him. He tried to intimidate us, but forget him, we did our thing. We went out there and got a dub and we did our job. He was just yip-yapping all game, but we don’t care about that. We just wanted to win.”
Sheesh, that is a lot of criticism. Clearly, Ward has no love for DeAndre Hopkins. This is because Hopkins was found positive for having used performance-enhancing drugs earlier this year. As a result of his steroid usage, he faced a 6-game suspension.
Ward did not stop there. “He was getting locked up. He was doing some dirty things. He tried to clip me, and grabbed me by the throat. He grabbed my facemask on one play, so I don’t respect his game. That’s steroid boy.”
DeAndre Hopkins looks like his old self and has had a total of 45 receptions for 487 yards and two touchdowns in the last 5 games. D-Hop may decide to respond back with a solid performance when Arizona meets San Francisco in Week 18 of the NFL season again.
