The trading session has created a lot of surprises in the ongoing NFL season. Some of the big names have changed their teams and have joined others that have triggered excitement. The trade of Rasul Douglas to the Buffalo Bills has created a huge hue and cry. Apart from Douglas, Chase Young‘s trade garnered everyone’s attention. The CB joined the San Francisco 49ers from the Washington Commanders. 

After joining the 49ers, Young held his first press conference, where he spoke extensively about his dream to play for the San Fran team. The CB added that he wanted to be a part of a winning side and he felt happy after joining the 49ers.

The defensive end extensively praised the 49ers and their ability and will to win matches. The 49ers are presently up by a 5-3 record. They won their consecutive five games in a row, but the second half of the league posed a great challenge. The team lost three back-to-back games and the last came against the Cincinnati Bengals. The performance against the Bengals was horrific as they gave away 31 points.

The 49ers were looking for someone like Young to strengthen their defense. After the poor performance against the Bengals, they wanted someone to perform well for their defense in the coming time. This season, Young has performed 15 combined tackles (three assisted and the rest are solos) with 5.0 sacks. 49ers are hoping that the player will have a vital role.

Above all, Chase Young is excited about reuniting with his friend and ‘big brother’ Nick Bosa at the 49ers. Both belonged to Ohio State, and both had a great relationship when they were playing together. The reuniting factor has excited Young.

During the press conference, the CB added that he wanted to become a part of this 49ers team because of Bosa. Bosa is like a big brother to him. He even said that Bosa called him five minutes after the trade. 

It's like kind of that same thing at Ohio State, where it's like you're expected to win, and it's just like that vibe of we're going to win. It definitely reminds me, not Ohio State, but obviously, it's the NFL. These are grown men. So I'm just excited to be blessed with the opportunity to be with this franchise.

The duo will be reuniting against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the coming week.
