Want to feel appreciated.

Omenihu missed 6 games with injuries, but still managed to have a career year in 2023. He registered a career-high 7 sacks and a career-high 28 tackles with the Kansas City-based football team in the 11 games he played. The veteran defensive lineman has been in the NFL for 5 years, but never had a better campaign than what he had in 2023.

If not for injuries, Omenihu might’ve had a Pro Bowl year. His breakout season has been appreciated by many people, but the 26-year-old feels unappreciated as the media has been focusing on Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. They both had remarkable campaigns and were a major part of the Chiefs’ successful Super Bowl run, but they couldn’t have done it without Omenihu.

A few minutes later, Omenihu posted another message where he explained how he put up good numbers despite missing some time. He further added he might have to do it again to get the appreciation from the fans.

Didn’t have a full season and put up numbers. Does that go unnoticed? Might have to do it again to get what I want at the end.

Maybe Omenihu feels unappreciated since he couldn’t help his team during the Super Bowl game. He tore his ACL in the AFC championship game and had to miss the biggest game of his career.

Charles Omenihu advocates for gun laws in the wake of the Super Bowl parade shooting

Last Wednesday, the Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration parade turned into a life-or-death situation after some people started shooting during the event. Later, the Chiefs defensive lineman Charles Omenihu took to social media to advocate for stricter gun laws in the country.

A time of celebration ends in tragedy. When are we going to fix these gun laws? How many more people have to die to say enough is enough? It’s too easy for the wrong people to obtain guns in America and that’s a FACT.

The shooting incident left around 22 people injured and 1 dead. Many people associated with Chiefs emerged as heroes in the wake of the shooting incident, except the Chiefs’ heiress Gracie Hunt, who distastefully shared glamourous pictures of herself while paying tribute to the victims.
