Chris Broussard claims the Jets could get Kirk Cousins as Aaron Rodgers’ replacement if they go 0-3 with Zach Wilson as QB1
Aaron Rodgers is down and out with an Achilles injury.

The New York Jets are not in good shape as their star quarterback Aaron Rodgers sustained a major injury in his Achilles. The 39-year-old athlete is unsure for the entire season and the Jets are suffering due to his absence. They won their first match, however, had a shambolic defeat at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys. They lost by a margin of 30-10. The result makes it evident that the team did not have a lot of attacking intent against the Cowboys.
The quarterback in charge for the game Zach Wilson had a poor game against the Cowboys. He completed only 12 of his 27 passes and had one touchdown. The player was intercepted three times and the interceptions cost them a lot. Those interceptions had a pivotal role in changing the colours of the game.
In this present scenario, arguments are being propelled that the team can not continue with Wilson in the long run. Though analysts earlier backed him as the natural option to step into the shoes of Rodgers, slowly they are changing opinions and are advocating other options. Chris Broussard is one of the analysts, who believes that the team needs a different person in the quarterback position. In one of the episodes of the famous football podcasting show, ‘First Things First,’ the analyst advocated for Kirk Cousins to take charge of the quarterback position on the Jets team.

The performance of Kirk Cousins
The Minnesota Vikings had a bad start in this season. They lost two back-to-back games. However, the performance of Cousins is not bad. He has decent individual statistics.
In the first two matches, the player covered a total of 708 passing yards (on an average of 350 yards per match). He had six touchdowns and just one interception. Despite his team’s poor run of play, he shined.

On the other hand, Zach Wilson is nowhere close to Cousins in terms of individual statistics. He is lagging far behind. The team suffered due to the reliance on his arm play. In this context, if Cousins joins he will become a good fit for this team.
