“BEYOND EXCITED”: Veteran WR Cole Beasley shares the hilarious story of sliding into Tom Brady’s DMs

Cole Beasley slid into Tom Brady's DMs as soon as he heard he was a Buccaneer
What if you were to wake up one day and all of a sudden discover that you have an opportunity to play alongside Tom Brady, as a wide receiver? Does that sound like a dream does it not? For veteran Cole Beasley, his longtime wish of sharing the same locker room with the best to ever do it is finally coming to fruition. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed the veteran to the practice squad last week as they are struggling to find talent at the wideout position.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady face one of their biggest challenges this week as they take on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Both teams have great quarterbacks, both first-round HOFers, and they share one more thing in common, they do not have receivers to throw the ball to. With Mike Evans facing a one-game suspension for his involvement in the altercation against the Saints last week, Chris Godwin sitting out due to an injury, and Julio Jones still developing chemistry with Brady, the Bucs signed veterans on the free agent market.
“I’ve been wanting to play with Brady for a long time”: Cole Beasley has gotten the opportunity of a lifetime!

Cole Beasley was signed by the team and he is eligible to be elevated from the practice squad for a maximum of three games without being included in the 53-man roster. Following the first-ever practice with Tom Brady Beasley was hyped and could not hold his excitement back!
“I’ve been wanting to play with Brady for a long time, it’s exciting for me, excited for the opportunity, just trying to get back at it, it’s a humbling experience having to wait this long, I got a lot of catching up to do,” Beasley told Rick Stroud. Beasley admitted to sliding into Tom Brady’s DMs the moment he found out he will be playing alongside him! The contents of the messages is something that will remain under wraps but knowing Beasley, it is bound to be hilarious!
With both Chris Godwin and Julio unavailable Cole Beasley has been added to the active roster this week. He will be a much welcome addition that could help relieve Brady’s frustration of not being able to connect with the younger receivers. The team had quite a few drops last week and struggled to connect. This week’s game against the Green Bay Packers will be a true test for the Buccaneers as they will face a well-rounded team for the first time this season.
