“I TOLD you so”: Colin Cowherd brutally trolls Davante Adams over his comments on Derek Carr

Davante Adams and Derek Carr

Davante Adams has gotten himself into a rather unusual situation, the wideout who recently got traded to the Las Vegas Raiders and reunited with his former college quarterback, Derek Carr has been heaping praises on him ever since he got there. It all started with Davante calling Carr a quarterback who is exceptionally talented and has a better arm than Aaron Rodgers. In addition to this, he also praised Carr’s leadership abilities and his accuracy as well

However, the most recent comments on his quarterback seem to be too far of a stretch as he called Derek Carr a hall of fame quarterback. Adams was quoted saying, “Any time you change quarterbacks from Hall of Famer to Hall of Famer… it’s going to be a little bit of an adjustment, in terms of talent and ability Rodgers and Carr are very similar.” Defending your quarterback is one thing but this is just placing him on a high pedestal.

Colin Cowherd has a habit of telling “I told you so” on numerous occasions. In light of the recent comments from Adams, the Fox Sports analyst once again came out and told his favorite dialogue. Here’s what Colin had to say.

“My favorite quote from the NFL offseason, Davante Adams, former Packer receiver, now a Raider. He said it. When you go from one Hall of Fame quarterback to another, there’s a little adjustment. Hate to say ‘I told you so.'”

Colin clearly was being sarcastic in this particular video, a look at the analyst’s face gives it away. If he really did publicly state that Carr is ALREADY a hall of fame quarterback then that would be it for his credibility. Derek Carr is a good quarterback, you can make a solid argument that he is a very good quarterback but he’s not a Hall of Famer in this universe or in any other parallel universe.

This offseason, hyping average quarterbacks up seems to be the new norm as Tyreek Hill started the whole charade by calling Tua Tagovailoa an amazing quarterback who has a better arm than Patrick Mahomes. The star wideouts are all issuing cheques that their quarterbacks will have to eventually cash. Maybe if Carr won a Super Bowl or two we could make an argument for him to be in the HOF but as of now, with that 57-70 regular season record and no playoff wins, he does not belong in there.
