Lamar Jackson has been embroiled in a contract dispute with his team ever since his rookie contract was up. The Baltimore Ravens QB was franchise tagged as the team wasn’t willing to give in to his massive, fully guaranteed contract demands.

Jackson has shown time and time again that he can be one of the best QBs in the league. However, his absence for the majority of last season has played an important role in many teams not pursuing the QB.

Jackson was drafted the same year Bills QB Josh Allen was drafted. Both the players started at the same place and were considered equals. However, currently, one player is way above than the other and it’s not even close, according to Colin Cowherd.

“It’s not even close on the stuff that matters,” Colin Cowherd stated on the Herd. “At this point, they are not equals”

Cowherd blatantly compared Jackson and Allen on his show, The Herd. Although both of the QBs started at the same place, one has gone on to be way better than the other, according to plain stats.

The Bills QB has 138 touchdown passes in his career in the NFL while Jackson has 101. Allen is also way better in scoring total touchdowns with 176, while Jackson sits at 125. However, the most important piece of comparison was the playoffs win disparity between them. Allen has won 4 playoffs game while Jackson has only won one.

It is reported that Jackson is demanding a fully guaranteed contract like Deshaun Watson from the Browns. Speculation also suggests that he was offered $133 million for 3 years fully guaranteed, which is way more than what Josh Allen is earning now.

Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson were drafted in the same year by the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens, respectively. Both QBs were also considered somewhat equals at the time of the draft.

However, if we take a look at the amount earned by both of the players, the gap keeps on increasing and it’s not even close. It was reported that Jackson is currently in a $50 million deficit when compared to Josh Allen.

Allen has $85 million in career earnings, while Jackson just has $33 million in his entire career earnings. Maybe this is the reason why Lamar Jackson requires a big contract to make up for the deficit. However, it certainly won’t be possible if he doesn’t hire an agent who can represent him.
