The game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles will be a mouthwatering encounter. Both teams have a decent start to their NFL campaigns. The Eagles are presently standing at 7-1 while the Cowboys are up by 5-2. With a good start, both teams are considered to become the possible Super Bowl winners. The next match hence seems to be an important one for both teams.
Despite having a good rivalry, both teams show strong respect for each other. A few days back, Micah Parsons, the linebacker (lb) for the Dallas Cowboys gave his flowers to the Philadelphia Eagles. Micah said that the Eagles are the No. 1 team in the NFL. He even appreciated the individual performances of the likes of Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown.
Ahead of the clash, the LB once again praised the team for their dominance in the league. He opened himself up in front of the media and said that the game for the Cowboys would be very difficult.
We gotta rush our butts off. … Most games are won upfront. For us to win this game, we gotta win up front.Micah Parsons told reporters
The linebacker has a staunch message for his quarterback and his offense line. The Dallas defense in this tournament has performed extremely well. However, the offense was not so good at the beginning of the season. Though the Cowboys performed well, Dak Prescott, their quarterback was nothing but average in the first few games. Against the Eagles, Dak needs to show his class. And none but Prescott knows it pretty well.
Dak had a good game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He covered 304 yards of passing and registered four touchdowns. If the Cowboys have to win the game then Dak needs to show the same level of performance in the game against the Eagles.
The Cowboys defense vs the Eagles offense: An encounter worth cherishing
The clash will occur between the Eagles offense and the Dallas defense. However, Micah will not have an easy game against the Eagles and he knows it pretty well. Addressing the press, the most consistent player for the Cowboys, said:
(Facing their offensive line) is always a great challenge, but at the end of the day, they gotta face us too. I know they’re looking over like, ‘When Micah is here, what are we gonna do? When Micah is there, what are we gonna do?’ At the same time, they gotta scheme me, and I gotta prepare to go against them. Iron sharpens iron. It’s gonna be a battle up front on Sunday.
The Eagles’ offense is without a doubt one of the best this season. They have shown sheer dominance over their opponents. Only a few teams have become successful; in doing that.
On the other hand, the Cowboys defense is consistent and has performed pretty well in the league. The success of the team can be attributed to their defense.
