The Dallas Cowboys defensive linebacker Neville Gallimore did something on Sunday that no one was looking forward to. With less than one minute to go in the final quarter, he kicked their divisional rival New York Giants‘ Justin Pugh on his groin in front of the referee. As a result, he was ejected, and the Cowboys received a 15-yard penalty.

The moment took place after the DL went on to sack Tommy DeVito before he made a successful pass. Gallimore failed to sack him at the right time and the pass marked its destination. However, DeVito was tangled with the DL and went down to the ground. Pugh was close to both of the players.

Witnessing the tussle quickly, he went on to separate both when Gallimore kicked him. It was an intentional hit that attracted a lot of criticism from the NFL crowd. A video, depicting the incident, went viral and netizens cursed the DL along with his team.

Pugh later opened up regarding the hit. He said that he had no intention of taking on the DL as he already lost enough money by picking up fights with others. The OL also added that he felt bad for Gallimore, considering the penalty he had received. 

Look, he hit the quarterback late, I took exception to it, I hit him, I shouldn’t have done that when he was on the ground, pushed him and he kicked me. I’ve gotten in so many fights in my career, I’m not gonna cost myself money. He’s gonna get a FedEx so I feel bad for him on that. I don’t want a guy to lose money. But you don’t kick somebody on a football field.

Gallimore had a good game against his divisional rival with three combined tackles with two quarterback hits. The Cowboys defense restricted the Giants’ offense only to 172 yards.

Football fans disapproved of Cowboys’ Neville Gallimore’s actions

Social media did not like what Gallimore did during Sunday night football. The netizens considered it a disgrace, and they slammed him along with his team.

Apart from that one hit, The Cowboys had everything perfect in the game against the Giants. The stellar margin reveals the domination they had over their opponents. It was an offensive masterclass led by none other than Dak Prescott, who finished the game with four touchdowns for 404 passing yards.

In addition to this, the QB had two carries for 17 rushing yards with a rushing touchdown. The only dark spot was the one interception for Prescott.

The Cowboys were looking for an opponent to get things back on track after their loss against the Eagles and the Giants seemed the perfect one. In both of the games against the New York-based team, the Cowboys have shown sheer dominance over their divisional rival.
