“I apologize”: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones apologizes for using the “M” word while paying tribute to an executive who passed away recently

If there is one man who knows how to stay in the news, it is Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. The man is known for not holding back when it comes to expressing exactly what he is thinking.
Born in Los Angeles, California, Jerry was a football enthusiast from a very young age. In fact, he was a running back at North Little Rock High School. Back in 1898, he had purchased the Dallas Cowboys officially from H.R Bright.
“I understand what I said may have been viewed as offensive”: Jerry Jones

Although the Cowboys owner has been called the ‘entertainer’ on several occasions, many reckon that he goes a little overboard while trying to be expressive. Something on the same grounds happened recently when Jerry made a comment which didn’t go down well with short people.
While paying tribute to an executive who passed away, Jerry said, “I’m going to get me somebody, a (M-word), to stand up there with me and dress him up like Lace and think Lace is still out here helping at practice with us, but here it is to Lace―really, and I’m serious about that.”
After receiving a lot of backlash, especially from an advocacy group called Little People of America, Jerry publicly apologized for his words. “Earlier today I made a reference which I understand may have been viewed as offensive,” he said in a statement. “I apologize,” Jerry added.
Jerry always figures out a way to ruffle a few feathers and this time again he has done the same. As far as his team is concerned, Dallas fans would be eagerly waiting to see them take the field in the coming season.
