Dak Prescott fooled everyone by putting up an impressive performance during the Cowboys’ victory against the 8-and-9 Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the NFL postseason. The 7th-year quarterback put up a masterpiece against Todd Bowles‘ defense when he finished the game with five total touchdowns and a 143.3 passer rating.
After that stellar performance from their franchise quarterback, the Cowboys had gained little hope of going against the scary 49ers’ defense in the divisional round. However, Prescott folded in the game and had a disastrous outing. The Dallas’ defense managed to hold the Niners’ offense led by the rookie sensation Brock Purdy to just 19 points.
And yet, the Cowboys managed to lose by 7 points as their offense failed to show up in the big game. Their star wideout CeeDee Lamb had an impressive game as he managed to catch 10 passes for 117 yards, but other than that, there was no life on that offense. The Dallas-based franchise’s reliable running back Tony Pollard went down with an injury early in the game and that proved to be costly since they couldn’t move the ball in the ground game at all without him in the game.
In fact, their expensive RB Ezekiel Elliott carried the rock ten times but only managed to gain 26 yards from it, with an average of a mere 2.6 yards per attempt. The Cowboys eventually went on to lose 19-12 in the divisional round and got booted out of the NFL postseason.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott gets scorched on social media

Dallas fans on social media destroyed Dak Prescott for his poor outing, which resulted in a Cowboys’ loss against the San Francisco 49ers in their divisional round matchup on Sunday.
The former fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State threw for 206 yards and one touchdown while completing 62.2% of his passes in the game. Furthermore, Dak also threw two interceptions and finished the game with a 63.6 passer rating.
He had an average outing, but his interceptions proved to be costly. When the game was tied 6-6 during the final minutes of the second quarter, the Cowboys were on the verge of the red zone but Dak threw an interception which eventually led to a field goal by the Niners’ kicker Robbie Gould and the Niners took a 9-6 lead at the halftime.
Nevertheless, the 2nd-seeded San Francisco 49ers proved to be the better team on Sunday and they will now face the NFC East Champions and the 1st-seeded Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Conference Championship game this weekend.
