The Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is having one of the best campaigns of his long career so far. He has been surging in the MVP odds following a stretch of great outings from the veteran signal-caller. And now, he became the favorite to win the league MVP honor, ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who had a bad outing in week 13.

According to Bet Online, Prescott is currently sitting with +225 odds to win the league MVP award. After Prescott, the San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy (+300) and the Philadelphia Eagles signal-caller Jalen Hurts (+500) have the second and third-best odds to win the prestigious award respectively.

Furthermore, the defending league MVP Patrick Mahomes, the 2019 league MVP Lamar Jackson, and the Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa are tied for the 4th best odds to win the award. Besides, wide receiver Tyreek Hill and running back Christian McCaffrey are the only two non-QB players in the top 10 odds.

Just a week ago, Hurts had better odds than Prescott. However, Hurts had a poor outing against the 49ers in the Eagles’ week 13 loss while Prescott had a remarkable 3-touchdown performance against the Seattle Seahawks in the Cowboys’ week 13 victory.

As a result, Prescott surged to the top in many betting platforms including Bet Online. However, in some other platforms, including ESPN Bet and Draft Kings Sportsbook, Purdy became the favorite to win following his impressive 4 touchdown performance against the Eagles in week 13.

The veteran QB has been receiving a lot of praise from many experts because of his MVP-level campaign, but he said he doesn’t care about other people’s opinions about him.

I understand nobody's opinion defines me, that's the great part about life and that's the great opportunity that we all have, that people can say whatever they want, but you know I have the pen, I have the paper and I'm the one writing.
