Cowboys announce a partnership with Black Rifle after Illinois shooting

When the whole country was getting all set to mark the celebrations for the 4th of July, yet another mass shooting shook the entire world. This time, the attacker opened fire on a parade in Highland Park, Illinois. The maniac ended up killing at least six innocent people.

The gunman turned the celebrations into a scene of absolute chaos and despair. As per reports, the attacker climbed a ladder to a roof and then brainlessly opened fire on as many as 30 individuals, eventually taking lives of 6 of them.

After being on the run for a while, the man was caught by the authorities. As soon as the news of the incident started spreading, prayers from all around the world started flooding Twitter. The NFL world also reacted with many questioning the gun laws in the country.

However, at such a time when the debate on gun violence is at peak, the Cowboys unveiled their partnership with Black Rifle Coffee Company. As reported by the Associated Press, the name of some of the products of the company include AK-47 Espresso, Murdered Out & Silencer Smooth.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize why this whole partnership is a perfect recipe for creating controversy. One has to admit that the timing from the Cowboys to announce the partnership couldn’t have been worse. As expected, Twitter was flooded with angry reactions.

This is indeed going to hamper the Cowboys’ image. The nation is yet to recover from the tragedy that unfolded in Illinois and at such a critical time, announcing this partnership can’t be termed as a good idea.
