Dalvin Cook believes DeAndre Hopkins is a dynamic player

As the 2023 NFL season fast approaches, but before that, the offseason brings juicy rumors and gossip about player trades. One piece of news that might shake up football shortly is that Dalvin Cook has expressed his desire to play with DeAndre Hopkins.

That would be something epic for the NFL,” said Dalvin Cook about the prospect of linking up with DeAndre Hopkins. Cook is currently a free agent after the Minnesota Vikings released the 27-year-old. Hopkins himself is looking for a new team after he left the Arizona Cardinals. He has been busy visiting various potential franchises, like the New England Patriots.

Fans over the years have seen Cook and Hopkins duke it out against each other several times in the past. Cook himself acknowledges that fact. “I know his mindset,” Cook said. “I done play against D-Hop (DeAndre Hopkins) a numerous amount of times.”

Cook appreciates the winning mentality Hopkins has, which aligns with his goal of becoming a champion. “I want to go win; as far as going to lift the trophy (the Lombardy Trophy), he’s got the same mindset as me.”

While talking with Adam Schefter on his podcast on Monday, Cook called Hopkins a “dynamic player.” He said, “Everyone knows D-Hop.” You know what you’re getting out of him.” Then he expressed his desire to play with the former Houston Texans man: “If we can get up on the same roster, that will be the beauty of the situation” ESPN reported.

Both are great players in their rights, and they will be great complements to each other’s playstyles if they do join the same franchise. But the question is whether the team can afford both of them or not.

As previously mentioned, Hopkins is visiting various team camps to strike a suitable deal. However, one franchise that is out of the question is the Dallas Cowboys. Hopkins himself shrugged off the idea of playing with Dak Prescott. The New England Patriots are also showing interest in Hopkins, according to some media outlets.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins are targeting Miami native Cook. But they already have solid receivers in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Besides the Dolphins, the New York Jets have also inquired about his services. So far, there is no concrete evidence as to who is the front-runner.

If there is a world where both DeAndre Hopkins and Dalvin Cook play together for the same team, that would be epic.
