“The game cheats you sometimes!” Dalvin Cook GUTTED by Aaron Rodgers’ untimely injury setback just days after he joined the Jets
Cook said Rodgers' influence persuaded him to choose New York over other cities for his next destination.

Dalvin Cook‘s debut for the New York Jets was overshadowed by Aaron Rodgers‘ injury on Monday. But the experienced NFL running back assured that their season was not over.
Besides the Rodgers move, the biggest saga in the offseason was where Dalvin Cook would be playing in 2023. The four-time Pro Bowler’s time was up in Minnesota, and they released him in June. Several teams, including the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots, made contact with the 28-year-old.
However, Cook’s appearance at the Jets facility during training camp expedited his trade rumors. But there was one problem: they still had last year’s rookie of the season, Brecee Hall, on the roster. This meant he had to share field time with the young runner. Things went quite well for a while, as neither the Jets nor Cooks’ representatives wanted to release any statements. Eventually, he decided to join the Gang Green on August 15, and he started his first game against the Buffalo Bills.
But after just four plays, tragedy struck the New York franchise as Rodgers tore his Achilles. Being one of the leaders in the locker room, Dalvin Cook was required to step up. He finished the game with 13 rushes for 33 yards and caught all three of his targets for 26 yards as they beat the Bills 22-16 in overtime. Rodgers’ unfortunate injury has raised doubts about whether the Jets are now a championship-worthy side. But Cook claims that their goal of winning the Super Bowl remains unchanged despite the setback.
“The game cheats you sometimes,” he told the press after yesterday’s practice. “Aaron was a big part of me coming here and trying to build something up and go chase what we’re chasing, and the goal is still the same for us to go do what we need to do. I love the guys. I love this team.”

Dalvin Cook claims that he and the team will support Zach Wilson
After Aaron Rodgers left the game, third-year quarterback Zach Wilson was thrown into the mix. After an unsatisfactory 2022 season, many were relieved to see that the 24-year-old would not see many games this time around. That was pretty obvious when he came on.
However, to his credit, Wilson had a solid game against the Bills. He completed 14 out of 21 passes for 140 yards with an accuracy of 66.7 and threw a touchdown to receiver Garret Wilson. Unfortunately, this did not shut up the doubters. Social media was flooded with tweets regarding who the Jets should sign as a replacement quarterback.
Despite all the chatter, Dalvin Cook says they believe in the young quarterback. “Zach going to be Zach,” he said when asked about the situation. “One thing I do like about him is his operation; he comes into the huddle with a lot of confidence, ready to deliver. no panic in him. I got a lot of confidence in him. Zach is our guy. We gotta rock out with him.”
There are rumors that the Jets are looking to exhaust every option possible. A source recently claimed that free agent Colin Kaepernick‘s representatives made contact with the franchise for a possible deal but were rejected.
