The Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields had somewhat of a breakout year in the 2022 NFL season. The talented QB established himself as a true dual-threat weapon in the league. However, is the third-year quarterback ready to have an MVP kind of season in Chicago? Well, ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky certainly believes so.
During a recent episode of the ESPN show Get Up, the former Detroit Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky boldly claimed that the Bears QB Justin Fields will play at an MVP level in the 2023 season.
“The Chicago Bears had the number one pick. They were terrible last year. The only reason that they were actually in games because of Justin Fields,” Orlovsky stated. “I’ll say it again. He is going to be in the MVP conversation this year because he finally has the right people around him to allow his talents to excel.“
Orlovsky went on to claim that the Bears general manager Ryan Poles‘ off-season moves will help Fields develop into the next big thing. The Bears added tackle Darnell Wright, D.J. Moore, and Nate Davis in the 2023 off-season.
After having a not-so-good first year in the league, Fields quickly adjusted to the speed of the NFL and played at a high level in his sophomore year. The Bears’ franchise QB registered 3385 total yards and 25 total touchdowns. And now that he has D. J. Moore as his receiver, the Bears QB might go off in his third year in the league.

Social media clowns Dan Orlovsky for his Justin Fields take
ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky presented somewhat of a valid take on the Bears QB Justin Fields having an MVP season in 2023. But many people on social media were not amused by it. Fans clowned Orlovsky for claiming Fields will be in the MVP conversation.
This is not the first time Orlovsky has claimed that Justin Fields will soon be an MVP. He has been manifesting this for quite a while. The former Lions QB first started banging the MVP drums for Fields back in 2022 when the Bears QB started to take off in the league.
Furthermore, Orlovsky again claimed Fields will be an MVP QB in 2023 when the Chicago-based football team acquired wide receiver D. J. Moore from the Carolina Panthers in a trade for the Bears’ No.1 overall pick.
And now, for the third time, Orlovsky touts the 24-year-old quarterback as one of the top quarterbacks in the league. Anyhow, the Bears QB would have a shot at being in the MVP conversation if his team can have a winning season in 2023.
