The Houston Texans seem to be facing more legal issues, the team recently settled 30 cases with respect to the Deshaun Watson case but now another player of the team seems to have gotten himself into some serious trouble. This time it is Darius Anderson who was arrested on Friday and charged with burglary with an intent to commit assault as per Pro Football Network.

Houston Police stated his initial charge as burglary with intent to rape but the charge was amended later on Tuesday as they claim that there has been a coding error that led to the charges being wrongly specified. The running back broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house. When his ex claimed that she returned home on Friday morning after grabbing a cup of coffee. She found Anderson’s car in her driveway.

Darius Anderson forced himself into her home and refused to leave. His ex-girlfriend got terrified of him and locked herself in a bathroom and then called the police. At this point, the RB left her house. He has unequivocally denied all allegations against him.

His case is due to be heard before the Court on the 20th of September. He is temporarily out on bail. His attorney, Kelly Benavides stated, “He denies any allegations. We look forward to investigating and presenting our case in court and clearing his name,” defending his client.

His team, the Houston Texans also released a statement in which they acknowledged the situation and stated that they were ‘aware of the report’ but did not add anything further. Anderson played for four seasons at TCU where he ran for a career-high 823 yards and recorded 6 TDs during his senior season in 2019. He became a Dallas Cowboy in 2020 once he went undrafted. The team cut him after a few months. He then went on to play for the Colts before joining the Texans. He is yet to make his debut in the NFL.
