Speaking with Philadelphia Eagles insider Dave Spadaro on the ‘On the Inside’ show, Darius Slay was full of praise for Aaron Rodgers. Slay said that he [Rodgers] is one of the greatest to play in the NFL and has a very gifted arm that enables him to make amazing throws.

You know, he’s one of the greatest ever, somebody I respect very much, and I’m excited to see him again,” said Slay. “He can make all the plays. He has the most gifted arm. Very accurate. He does it all. If you are gonna draw up a quarterback, you’re going to draw up that kind of quarterback.”

Aaron Rodgers has recently revealed that he has been playing with an injury in his right thumb since week 5. It has hampered his performance a bit this season according to some fans, but Darius Slay feels different. According to him, it doesn’t matter if Rodgers is injured as he will still control the game.

Doesn’t matter,” Slay said. “He’s still Aaron Rodgers. You know what you’re going to get against him. The way he controls the game, that’s really what separates him. The vision, man, he sees everything. He’s been in the league so long you can’t even disguise much stuff, know what I’m saying? It’s more like him messing it up more than us making a play.”

However, respect and everything are left outside when you step onto that field, and that is exactly what Darius Slay is looking forward to. Hence, when the Eagles and Packers go up against each other on Sunday, Slay will be looking to leave his mark.

I’m excited to go against this quarterback. He is one of the greatest ever. To be on the field going against him, it’s always been a blessing for me. When I was growing up, I was playing ARod in video games, in fantasy. I’ve been going against him for so long, we have a lot of mutual respect. I have his game jersey. I’m on my high horse. I love ARod.”
