Davante Adams‘ decision to leave the Green Bay Packers and join the Las Vegas Raiders has not found success. Nevertheless, he has performed brilliantly for them in his two seasons with the team. The Raiders have not performed well and failed to make the playoffs in both seasons.

Adams cut a frustrated figure on several occasions during this season. However, the season ended well for the six-time Pro-Bowler under new head coach Antonio Pierce. He seems to be in a happier place now and will look to lead his team to the playoffs next season. However, the Raiders need to find a mainstay in the quarterback position.

Aside from his former teammate Aaron Rodgers, Adams was asked which quarterbacks he would like to catch passes from during an appearance on the inaugural Two Gs in a Pod show. Though Minnesota Vikings’ QB Kirk Cousins‘ possible availability was mentioned in his response, it should be noted that the question did not focus on Adams’s preferences or availability. This is what Adams said:

You know what, I'll say this. It's a couple quarterbacks I really like out there. It depends on what you're saying. If we're talking about a dude that can just find somebody, I mean, I like Kirk Cousins. I think Kirk Cousins is a really good quarterback. As far as availability, I think Kirk's a good player.

March marks Cousins’ contract expiration, and he appears ready to cash in as several teams seek a seasoned quarterback to help them get over the finish line. The Raiders have a cap space of slightly over $36 million. They could possibly recruit Cousins to fill the QB need.

Davante Adams had a close eye on Heisman winner Jayden Daniels this season

The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the teams in the NFL that will benefit from a good quarterback going forward. There are a lot of great candidates out there, and the 2024 NFL draft remains loaded with many great prospects. However, the team’s star receiver, Davante Adams, kept a close eye on LSU quarterback and the reigning Heisman winner Jayden Daniels.

This is what Adams said:

I think based off the situation last year. I’m not great with college football but I did pay a little attention to Jayden Daniels. I know he’s good, tough, obviously he won a Heisman so he’s a great player. That’s somebody that I think could come in and be a decent player."

Daniels won the Heisman Trophy after having a breakthrough year at LSU. Along with his ten touchdown runs, he completed 40 touchdown passes. He can dynamically move his legs and arms.
