The Las Vegas Raiders agreed to terms on a 3-year contract with the former 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo on Monday. This means Jimmy G would be reunited with his former quarterbacks’ coach, Josh McDaniels, who is currently the head coach of the Raiders. Following this signing, Davante Adams posted a cryptic message on social media which led to some speculations about his state of mind.

The Raiders moved off from their former franchise quarterback Derek Carr after the abysmal 2022 season. Carr waived his no-trade clause to stop the Raiders from getting any value of him via trade and he ultimately ended up signing with the New Orleans Saints for a four-year $160 million deal. Just a few weeks after that signing, the Raiders found their QB and signed the two-time Super Bowl Champion on a 3-year $67.5 million deal, including $34 million guaranteed money.

Amidst this, the Raiders WR Davante Adams, who signed with the Raiders in the 2022 off-season mainly because of his college teammate Derek Carr, shared an absurd message on social media. “If we haven’t talked in the last 3 weeks don’t hit me about this s—. Thanks,” Adams wrote on his Instagram story.

Now, at that time, it was unsure of what exactly Adams was referring to, but the timing of that message led to some wild speculations about the 6-time Pro Bowl receiver being unhappy with the Raiders‘ QB choice. However, as it turns out, Adams is excited about playing with the former 49ers QB.

After many people started to speculate that Davante Adams is unhappy with his team signing the veteran quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, Adams crushed the rumors with a message on social media.

“Don’t make too much of it…phone dry then here comes everybody tryna get the inside scoop. Sh*t is annoying thats it. Jimmy let’s get this,” the 3-time All-Pro receiver tweeted just hours after he shared the cryptic message.

So as it turns out, the Raiders’ star wide receiver is not unhappy about catching passes from Jimmy G. Besides, if Garoppolo can stay healthy, he could be a really good quarterback throwing to the likes of Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and Darren Waller.

Anyway, the former 49ers QB Garoppolo signing with the Raiders might be a piece of good news for Adams but it is certainly not a good thing for the NY Jets who are patiently waiting for Aaron Rodgers to make a decision, while the free agency QB market is getting thinner every day.
