The NFL tampering period is officially over. Now teams can start to negotiate with the unsigned veterans to try to get a deal done. The teams are working overtime to add key pieces to their roasters. Amidst this, Jason Kelce, one of the key players of the Philadelphia Eagles, has announced his decision to return to the team next season.

Jason Kelce, one of the top centers in the league, took to social media to announce his decision. The 5-time All-Pro center revealed that after some deep thoughts and some discussions with his family, he made the decision to return to the Eagles.

“I have put much thought into whether it makes sense to play another season. After talking it over with my wife and many other friends and family, I have decided to return for another year. Thank you to all my supporters and detractors for fueling me, I ain’t fucking done yet!,” tweeted Kelce on Monday.

Since he’s a free agent, the 6-time Pro Bowler won’t be able to re-sign with the Eagles until the new league year begins on Wednesday. But the cornerstone player on the Eagles’ offensive line staying with the team is certainly a good thing for their QB Jalen Hurts.

After he announced his return to the Philadelphia-based football team, the former Super Bowl Champion Jason Kelce celebrated his decision by ripping a shot with the Eagles general manager Howie Roseman. Upon hearing the news, Roseman gave the 35-year-old offensive lineman a hug before pouring him a shot of mezcal, and they threw it back with ease to celebrate the occasion.

Just last off-season, when Kelce was contemplating his decision, the Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni sent the 6’3″ offensive lineman a keg of beer delivered to Kelce’s home to encourage him to stay with the team.

Of course, the keg of beer worked out for Sirianni and Jason Kelce stayed with the team, which led the Eagles to win the NFC Championship. They lost to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, but they are hoping to build on that success and possibly win the Super Bowl in the near future.

In the meantime, the Eagles GM Howie Roseman and the HC Nick Sirianni will be working hard to build a roaster around their star quarterback Jalen Hurts. The franchise recently signed their veteran DE Brandon Graham to a 1-year deal and once the free agency starts on March 15, they will sign more and more players.
