“He works his butt of everyday”: David Andrews is extremely impressed by Mac Jones’ work ethic and commitment

Mac Jones

The New England Patriots seem to be the luckiest team in the entire NFL, at the very moment the team lost Tom Brady, they drafted Mac Jones who is so far turning out to be the best pick at the quarterback position from his draft class looking at the cards that he has been dealt. Jones shocked everyone by first taking Cam Newton’s starting job, he earned his role by taking it from a quarterback who won the MVP and played in a Super Bowl, Newton is clearly a unique specimen. However, coach Bill Belichick seems to have found the next quarterback to groom.

Jones has managed to strike a different bond with Belichick that Tom could never. In his first year, he and his Head Coach were seen joking around and Jones has us all believing that Bill Belichick is well, human. The Patriots coach is known for his staunch attitude which is similar to a military general.

Mac Jones is the hardest worker in the room:

The team has a while off before it has to report to training camp later on this month but quarterback Jones has not been vacationing or sitting at home all day. Similar to other top quarterbacks, Mac has been working with his teammates, wide receivers Nelson Agholor and Trex Nixon in California. His work ethic has left a lot of veterans impressed and Center David Andrews is one of them.

He appeared on 98.5 The Sports Hub and stated that seeing Mac Jones put in all that work because it is the same approach that he has adapted for as long as he has been a Patriot. “The kid’s a hard worker, he works his butt off, day in and day out. Sometimes I just try to get him to take a deep breath. But that’s what you want out of your quarterback. He works really hard. He’s a tough kid. It’s been fun for me the last year, year and a half, to get to know him. I’ve got a lot of respect for how he does things and how he carries himself,” the Center concluded.

Out of all the vets, Andrews has been praising his quarterback a lot. This goes on to show that all the hype around the young quarterback is true. Mac Jones’ work ethic is why Belichick chose him after all he needed an equally or more hard-working quarterback than Tom Brady who could keep the Patriots culture going.

It will be exciting to see how Mac Jones ends up playing this season, the quarterback is sure to have a breakout year given his performance last year.
