It was a star-studded affair that took place at UFC 299 in the Miami Kaseya Center on Saturday. UFC pay-per-view attracts a lot of attention. Former POTUS Donald Trump made a special appearance and met with several NFL names, including David Njoku.
The Trump Organization’s head honcho has a keen interest in martial arts. So it wasn’t much of a surprise that he would be at the venue, watching UFC 299. He applauded the Octagon, with fans cheering his name loudly.

San Francisco 49ers All-Pro pass rusher Nick Bosa greeted the MAGA inventor along with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. Later, Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku took a picture with the former president.
But it seems the former Pittsburgh Steelers‘ Le’Veon Bell running back wasn’t too fond of Bosa being too friendly with Trump. He shared a clip of the 49ers speaking with Trump and captioned it, “no comment.”
Well, the Republican head is a very polarizing figure. Those with liberal views have always accused Trump of being misogynistic and against people of color. No wonder he is in the wrong books with Taylor Swift.
David Njoku’s contract situation
The former Miami Hurricanes player moved to Cleveland after the Browns selected him in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has spent his entire league career with the same franchise. However several NFL analysts claimed that the Browns would have another down year.

However, the 27-year-old made his stand clear on the recurrent rumors. After the Browns beat the Jets on Thursday Night Football, Njoku took a dig at NFL Network’s Adam Rank, who predicted the Browns would finish the season with a 6-11 record. But after beating the Jets, the Browns registered their 11th win.
Everybody doubted us. There’s a guy named Adam Rank—that guy stinks. We hold our own fate. We pushed through. The guys in this locker room should be proud of that, but understand that there’s a lot more that we can do.Njoku said after team’s week 17 win
Nearly two months later, Njoku once again found himself mentioning Rank. This time, he called out Steve Palazzolo of PFF. Palazzolo claimed that the Browns could save a ton of money by cutting Njoku. He took a cheeky dig, comparing the NFL analyst to the disciple of Rank.
This take from Palazzolo is undeniably a very weird one. There’s no benefit for the Browns in releasing Njoku before March 19 because it would force them to eat $19 million in dead cap money. Then there is an additional bonus of $11.79 million guaranteed, which would take the total to a staggering $30.8 million.
Browns had restructured David Njoku’s contract in 2023. He signed a four-year contract for $54.75 million, including $28 million guaranteed. As per Mary Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns saved $2.736 million in cap space.
