Deebo Samuel follows the San Francisco 49ers back on Instagram
Deebo Samuel has made his disappointment with the San Francisco 49ers public, the wideout went so far as to unfollow the organization on social media. This is not uncommon as players in their offseasons tend to hint at their future movements via their social media activities.
Deebo Samuel hoped to be traded before the NFL Draft or at least during the draft in exchange for picks, however, the situation did not work out to his advantage. Now it appears that Deebo has changed his mind.
Deebo liked an Instagram post of the 49ers
The WR liked a post on Instagram about the San Francisco 49ers General Manager John Lynch. In this particular post, the team’s GM believed that the issues between the team and Samuel can be worked out.
That is a switch from Deebo’s stance earlier last month, he had cut off the organization completely and had gone as far as to remove all the references to the team from his social media handle. His most recent actions do not guarantee that he could sign a long-term contract with the team, but we can expect both parties to arrive at a middle ground.
The wide receiver has been enticed by his fellow competitors such as Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, and Stefon Diggs to secure the bag. This has led to Samuel also looking for a big contract.
He still is owed $3.986 million this season, his base salary and this is also the final year of his rookie contract.
