The San Francisco 49ers had a great campaign last season and reached the Super Bowl. Despite a solid performance in the Super Bowl, the team lost in the dying seconds. Multiple San Francisco players had an impressive individual season. The Niners wide receiver Deebo Samuel is one among them.
The wide receiver had a pretty solid season in 2023. Despite having a down year for his standards, he was still one of the most impactful players for the Niners last season. However, there are rumors that Samuel could be traded this offseason. But the wide receiver ridiculed all the claims immediately.
During a recent interview in the FanDuel’s Up and Adams show, host Kay Adams asked Samuel about the trade rumors. The talented wideout shut down the rumors by claiming it’s just people on the internet speculating.

As previously mentioned, Samuel had a decent campaign during the 2023 season. The wide receiver caught 60 passes for 892 yards and 7 touchdowns. Despite these numbers, there are rumors that the Niners can trade the wide receiver to save some salary cap space. The 49ers can save up to $21.98 million if they trade away the former Pro Bowl wideout.
In the offseason, the Niners seemingly have a lot of work to do to keep the band together. Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is reportedly unhappy with the squad. After the team lost the Super Bowl, the Niners’ WR expressed his agony of not getting a lot of targets. Aiyuk received just three catches in the game, which seemingly pissed him off. In addition, multiple persons associated with the receiver claimed that he would not be with the team anymore. The Niners have to address his situation soon.
