With several options from prominent college football teams like Ohio State, Alabama, and Tennessee, Jordan Seaton shocked everyone when he joined Colorado. And head coach Deion Sanders couldn’t be happier! The No. 1 offensive tackle of Class 2024 from IMG Academy, has finally given his commitment to Colorado, on Thursday.
When Deion joined Buffaloes, he instantly took the steering in his hand and flipped four-star running back Dylan Edwards and cornerback Cormani McClain from Notre Dame and Florida, respectively. He also brought in the five-star cornerback Travis Hunter from Jackson State. However, despite all the efforts and changes in the team, the team posted 4-8 under Sanders.
Moving forward, Colorado isn’t quite interested in committing to recruiting high school candidates. The team had only nine commits from the Class of 2024, among which four are four-star and two are counted among the top 125 prospects. Now with Seaton’s addition, the count has reached 10 commits with a potentially strong future ahead.
Tackle Seaton announced his decision to go with Colorado live on an episode of Fox Sports 1’s Undisputed. Even though Sanders’ inaugural year at Colorado faced a little bump on the road, his decision to pursue another elite prospect from the Class of 2024 would surely work in his favor.
Deion Sanders hired Phil Loadholt as the offensive line coach
Buffaloes head coach Sanders seems to have taken the issues with the offensive line very seriously as he has taken serious action to improve. In addition to signing offensive tackle Seaton, Sanders has also hired an Oklahoma analyst Phil Loadholt as the offensive line coach, according to ESPN’s Adam Rittenburgh.
In the recent appearance on Thee Pregame Show on Wednesday, Sanders dropped a hint on the hiring of Loadholt, saying
Offensive line position has already been filled and we are straight. Trust me. A guy with plenty of experience, plenty wherewithal, able to communicate to all the kids from top to bottom.
The former NFL offensive lineman, Loadholt, is a Colorado native and played middle and high school football there. Before his NFL career, he played for Sooners, from where he impressed the Minnesota Vikings and got selected as the 54th pick in the second round of the 2009 NFL draft.
