Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders are having one of the worst seasons in the NFL. The team faced off against the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier yesterday and lost to them in a terrible fashion. The Steelers are a team who are not expected to go far this season. The team has a 7-8 season record. On paper, Carr and the Raiders were the superior team, but in reality, that was not the case.
The Steelers beat the Las Vegas Raiders 13-10 with QB Kenny Pickett throwing for 244 yards, connecting for 1 touchdown with George Pickens, and he had an interception as well. Overall, it was a decent performance from his end. However, the opposition really dropped the ball in this game.
The Raiders, led by Carr, had a frustrating game because of the performance of their quarterback. He ended the game having thrown for a total of 174 yards, had 1 touchdown, and 3 interceptions. The pick-sixes were the reason the Raiders could not get past the Steelers. In light of his terrible performance, it does cast a lot of doubt on the security surrounding his job as the starter. This season, the Raiders have a good squad but their coaching has not been the best and when their quarterback commits such errors; it does bring the team morale and their odds to win down.

Derek Carr was visibly frustrated in his post-game conference:
Carr took accountability following the game, but fans were not satisfied with the QB’s response. They took to Twitter to express their displeasure with the QB and many even insisted that he be traded or benched for the remainder of the season. This season was supposed to be different for the Raiders, with the arrival of Davante Adams, the best wideout in the NFL. The offense was supposed to thrive and be formidable, however, what we have seen is far from that. Take a look at some of the fan reactions:
About time? Derek Carr has been a Raider for a while now, and unfortunately, he has not been able to deliver.
To be fair, his Head Coach situation is not the most ideal either, Jon Gruden may probably have done a better job with the pieces the team has now.

Ah the irony, Mike McDaniel is killing it while Josh, not so much.
Can’t really blame the defense entirely for this one, the offense did make mistakes as well.
