It seems that Deshaun Watson can’t get out of controversies. The 27-year-old QB was suspended last season on the accusation of s*xual harassment by 24 women.

The lawsuit is still going on and the Cleveland Browns QB is speculated to appear in court in the city of Houston, Texas. Amidst this controversy, let’s look back at the time when Watson was stopped for overspeeding.

The 27-year-old QB had just secured a massive trade to the Browns from the Houston Texans. During that time, Watson was driving near Ohio and was going considerably over the speed limit. The policeman followed the QB in his car before stopping him for questioning.

The policeman recorded the whole conversation on his camera while charging the QB for his crime. The incident occurred on Ohio State Highway where the policeman confronted Watson. He then later asked for the license and registration before informing the QB that he was overspeeding.

Watson was 27 miles above the speed limit. The limit for that zone was 70 mph and the Browns QB was driving at around 97 mph. Watson stated that he was going back to the city of Detroit. However, that didn’t help him and he was asked to pay a $187 fine. Deshaun Watson was allowed to leave after paying the fine. However, the video of the interaction got leaked on Twitter and he was met with the fury of people.

This time it was for overspeeding on Ohio State Highway. Although it wasn’t a big crime, Watson was still reprimanded on social media. Maybe, there are downsides to being a famous athlete.
