Dez Bryant has been inactive as an NFL player since 2020. However, these days, you can find the 35-year-old voicing his opinions on social media about the inner workings of the NFL. Bryant seems to be very witty in his words and a keen observer too. Recently, he jokingly posted on Twitter saying that former Patriots coach Bill Belichick robbed him of winning the Super Bowl.
The former Cowboys wide receiver joined the Dallas franchise as the 24th position and 90th overall pick after trading No. 27 with the Patriots in the 2010 NFL Draft. If it were the other way around, Bryant could have played under Belichick for the Patriots. Belichick had a certain Tom Brady as his quarterback, and the duo won three Super Bowls together. Besides that, Brady won countless personal accolades and went on to become one of the best players in NFL history.
In the meantime, Bryant continued to perform amicably for the Cowboys. His best years were from the start of his cowboy life until 2014. Bryant rushed for a total of 5424 yards and had 56 touchdowns.
The Cowboys let go of Bryant in 2018, and he joined the New Orleans Saints. Unfortunately, just two days after his signature, the three-time Pro Bowler tore his Achilles tendon during practice and remained on the injured list the rest of the season.
Without making a single appearance, the Saints let him go in 2019, and he signed with the Baltimore Ravens practice squad.
It seems Bryant may have some lingering regret that he joined the Cowboys instead of the Patriots. No wonder he jokingly tried to imply that on Twitter, saying, “Bill Belichick robbed me of some Super Bowls.”

Will we ever see Dez Bryant return to NFL?
Dez Bryant made his last competitive appearance in the NFL in 2020 for the Ravens against the New York Giants, which they won 27-13. He only played six games in the COVID-19 hit season and finished with six receptions for 47 yards and two touchdowns.
Since then, he has posted on social media about grinding at home and staying fit for a possible return.
Besides sweating it out on the field, Bryant has been doing some philanthropic work as well. His community-based organization, ‘Personal Corner,” intends to create awareness amongst athletes about taking ownership and monetizing their digital brands and NFTs.
As previously mentioned, he has been vocal about all things NFL and various other sports-related news on Twitter.
He also shared his opinion on Netflix making a documentary on the Florida Gators
Bryant recently quashed the rumors of him turning down a 1-year deal from the Ravens saying he wanted to focus on his ‘Personal Corner’ project even though he loves football.
Whether Bryant decides to return to NFL as a player he still hasn’t made any clarification about that. However, Oklahoma and Cowboys fans who cherished one of their favorites would love for to see him return.
