This offseason, the Chicago Bears made many big decisions. But one that shone the brightest was acquiring the Pro wide receiver Keenan Allen, as soon as he stepped into the free agency market, following his exit from the Los Angeles Chargers.
Having him on the roster, the Bears not only secured a solid offensive weapon for their quarterback but also created a dynamic duo with wide receiver DJ Moore. The franchise inked Moore last season in a trade deal with the Carolina Panthers. It was a brilliant decision and the moment he stepped onto the football field, he dominated the passing game and formed a potent duo with former quarterback, Justin Fields.
And now that they have added a six-time Pro Bowl receiver, who is coming off a remarkable season in 2023. However, this puts Moore in a tough spot as he may receive fewer balls in the upcoming season, comparatively.
Addressing the potential competition for the top spot, the Bears star receiver made an appearance on 670 The Score. He stated that he was fine with the competition as what matters the most is winning games in 2024.
Moore said:
It doesn’t really matter to me. I know we've both talked about how we're going to complement each other. So I'm just looking forward to that. It might be a race to 1,000 [yards], but that's just a friendly competition. At end of the day, if we're winning, whoever is catching the ball, I don't really care.DJ Moore said

Although Moore doesn’t know Allen personally, he shared being well familiar with his style of play, calling him a “savvy route runner.” He is excited to play with him and learn a lot more.
In Allen’s 11 years with the Chargers, he racked up the franchise’s second-highest 10,530 receiving yards and 59 touchdowns. Only last season, he surpassed the 1,000-yard mark by posting 1,243 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
