Last Friday, the NFL came across the sad news of Aaron Donald ending his potential Hall-of-Famer career and bid goodbye to the Los Angeles Rams after a decade of playing as the defensive tackle. He retired after establishing his name among the defensive legends in the league with 111 sacks and a Super Bowl ring.
Adding a pinch of laughter to the teary eyes, the Arizona Cardinals’ quarterback Kyler Murray lightened the situation by giving the most hilarious and epic reaction to Aaron Donald’s retirement, on Friday. Well, Donald has a reputation for terrorizing the opponent’s offense on the football field.

Though his retirement is an emotional moment for everyone in the league, it’s also a moment of relief for the other teams. This is why, Murray’s two-word reaction on X, writing, “THANK GOD” along with emojis to make his joke clear, couldn’t have been more perfect.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Murray and Donald’s names have been mentioned in the same sentence. The star defensive player’s 100th career tackle was, in fact, against the Cardinals quarterback. The Rams have even shared a video of that game on YouTube titled:

In his NFL career, Donald has played 20 games against the Cardinals, where he racked up more than he has ever made against any team– 16 sacks and 26 tackles. But now that he has retired, the Cardinals and Murray can finally take a breath of relief going into the next NFL season.
