The Kansas City Chiefs-New York Jets game last Sunday was a great game of football. It had everything. However, the game was also marred by a late controversial holding call on Jets’ CB Sauce Gardner. That penalty gave the Chiefs a fresh set of downs and essentially ended the game. The Chiefs came out on top 23-20. There was a lot of criticism surrounding that penalty and former Chiefs’ WR Tyreek Hill felt like the Chiefs got saved on that play.

Hill, who played for the Chiefs for five years, claimed that his former team got saved by the referees and that it was because of Taylor Swift‘s presence in the building. Swift and Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce are rumored to be dating. Hill also said that the Chiefs got saved in last year’s Super Bowl as well after a similar controversial PI call against the Philadelphia Eagles helped the Chiefs win their second Super Bowl in four years.

“It was a 50/50 call, but when the game is on the line, you gotta let the players play,” Hill said on his podcast. “The Chiefs, they got saved like that last year for real though, against the Eagles in the Super Bowl, if we’re being honest.” He later joked about Kelce’s involvement saying, “Then they come back and get saved in the Jets game. Maybe because Taylor Swift was in the building. I don’t know what’s going on… hey! Whatever Kelce is doing, I know you’re helping out the NFL.”

Hill won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs in 2019. He was traded to the Miami Dolphins at the beginning of last year. He has started the 2023 season with a bang as the Dolphins have won three games through four weeks and are looking as prime Super Bowl contenders.

Tyreek Hill fined $7,000 for not wearing any socks

The Miami Dolphins’ star WR Tyreek Hill is his own person. He and the Dolphins dismantled the Denver Broncos in their week 3 match-up. Although it was a fun afternoon for Hill, it quickly turned sour for the receiver as he was fined $7,000 for not wearing any socks during the game.

“I got fined, though, for my socks,” Hill told The Post on Thursday. “In the Broncos game, the first touchdown, I didn’t have any socks on at all, but I was getting an IV and I didn’t want to be late for the play. So I didn’t have time to put on my socks.” He further said, “It was like $7,000, but I’m appealing and when I appeal it’s probably going to get reduced.”

Hill had 9 receptions for 157 yards and one score against the Broncos as the Dolphins became the first team since 1966 to score 70 points in a game. They beat the Broncos by 50 points. They played the Buffalo Bills the following week and were soundly defeated by 28 points. The Dolphins will host the New York Giants this Sunday.
