A hilarious incident by a Philadelphia football fan has created a ruckus on social media. Right after the match between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings, a fan was spotted on the streets, pulling a Vikings’ helmet tied by a leash. His gesture was metaphorical. He wanted to compare the Minnesota Vikings team to his loyal dog.
The gesture by the fan attracted both appreciation and criticism across Twitter. Some Eagles fans appreciated him, while others criticized him for disrespecting the Vikings. However, things like these are not uncommon in games that include collective participation. Soccer has thousands of examples where fans have portrayed disrespect to other teams. NFL also has a thousand examples, with most having the infamous Eagles fans’ name on them.
The match between the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles was a close contest. The game finished with a 28-34 record in the favor of the Eagles. Despite the result, the Vikings performed pretty well. Especially quarterback Kirk Cousins who completed 31-of-44 passes, covered 364 yards, and had one touchdown. He was exceptional in the game vs. the Eagles but failed to get a favorable result.
The Eagles on the other hand provided a good team performance and managed to win the game. Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Eagles did not have an overwhelming game, but he was efficient. He had an 18-of-23 passing record, completed 193 yards, and had one touchdown and one interception.
It was not a brilliant performance considering his level, however; he was effective and well-supported by the likes of running back D’Andre Swift and wide receiver DeVonta Smith. Swift had 28 carry attempts, 175 yards and one touchdown. Smith, on the other hand, had four receives, completed 131 yards and one touchdown. The overall performance of the team was decent.

The match between the Vikings and the Eagles went beyond the field as one of the Eagles’ fans performed a questionable gesture aimed at the Vikings team. He walked with a Vikings helmet as if was walking with his pet dog. He also used slang like “F****ing Dog,” directed at the Vikings. Social media went crazy right after the incident was spotted on the streets. Some hammered him while some also appreciated him.
The Vikings had a very bad start in their NFL 2023-24 season. They had back-to-back losses and presently are the last boys in the NFC North Division. On the other hand, the Eagles had a decent start this season. They won back-to-back two games and presently are the leaders of the NFC East Division. It is to be seen whether the Jalen Hurts-led team can continue this form.
