The Kansas City Chiefs led by their two-time MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes is going against the NFC Champions Philadelphia Eagles in the much anticipated Super Bowl game. Ahead of their matchup, the Eagles’ head coach Nick Sirianni cried his eyes out during the national anthem in his first-ever Super Bowl as the head coach in the league.
The second-year head coach got emotional and had tears pouring down from his eyes during Chris Stapleton‘s emotional performance. The 41-year-old is known for showing his emotions and having fun on the sidelines and it seemed like he couldn’t control the overwhelming emotions when he heard the national anthem performed by the 8-time Grammy Awards winner, Stapleton.
Along with Nick Sirianni, the Eagles’ star center Jason Kelce also got a bit emotional during the anthem. However, Kelce has more than one reason to get emotional on Super Bowl Sunday. Jason Kelce is playing in his second Super Bowl and is going against his brother Travis Kelce, who is playing in his third Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Furthermore, Jason Kelce’s wife, Kylie Kelce, is 38 weeks pregnant and possibly could go into labor during or soon after the game. She’s attending the game with two OB-GYNS and her parents to support her husband during the important game. Kylie and Jason Kelce have two children together, who are also in the stands, supporting their father.
Social media reacts to Eagle HC Nick Sirianni crying ahead of the Super Bowl
Fans on social media got emotional seeing the Eagles’ head coach Nick Sirianni crying during the national anthem ahead of the Super Bowl game. The Eagles have one of the most passionate fan bases in the NFL and they showed their love to their leader, who helped them to get to the Championship game this year.
Nick Sirianni took over a 4-11-1 team two years ago and turned them into legit Super Bowl contenders with some help from the Eagles’ general manager Howie Roseman. The GM made some crucial signings in the off-season and added some legit talents during the 2022 NFL Draft, which certainly have helped Jalen Hurts to lead this team all the way to the big game.
Nevertheless, Nick Sirianni and his Philadelphia Eagles had two weeks to prepare for their big game against the AFC Champions Chiefs. And they would leave everything on the field to leave the field as the 2023 Super Bowl Champions. All of their hopes are on the shoulder of their third-year quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is looking to win his first Super Bowl ring.
