The Kansas City Chiefs led by their MVP-caliber quarterback Patrick Mahomes will go against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl this weekend. As a part of a build-up to the game, the Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and the Eagles HC Nick Sirianni took the center stage during the media night on Monday to talk about the much-anticipated game between two equally matched teams.
During the event, the Eagles HC Nick Sirianni showed the utmost respect for the veteran head coach Andy Reid, who had previously spent 14 seasons with the Philadelphia-based football team. “To go against coach Reid and have so much respect for him, you know, of just, of what he’s done in his NFL career,” said Sirianni about Reid. “The guys still talk about him in our building with the Eagles.”
The second-year HC also revealed that he will ask the Eagles GM Howie Roseman about how Reid would handle a particular situation and that he’s honored to go against coach Reid. “I know Howie Roseman, you know. I’ll ask him at times, how’d coach Reid handle this scenario? Because I’m really intrigued by how great coaches, you know, operate and he’s a great coach. I’m honored to be, you know, being able to coach against, you know coaching a Super Bowl against coach Reid,” said Sirianni about Andy Reid.
The Eagles and Chiefs will test their strengths in their Super Bowl matchup
The excitement is over the roof around the league as the Eagles led by MVP frontrunner Jalen Hurts are preparing to take on the AFC Champions Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl this weekend.
The Eagles had a dominating 31-7 victory against a tough and gritty San Francisco 49ers team during the NFC Championship game. They are also very strong in the trenches as they have registered the most sacks this season and have a very strong O-line.
On the other side, the Chiefs managed to secure a close 23-20 victory against the Joe Burrow-led Bengals in the AFC Championship game. Furthermore, the Chiefs’ rookie DE George Karlaftis and CB Trent McDuffie have made a huge impact on their defense and will be a vital part of their game plan.
Either way, it will definitely be a close and fun game as both the teams are very evenly matched and will leave everything on the field to become the one to be hoisting the coveted Lombardi Trophy during the trophy presentation ceremony.
