LeSean McCoy has been brutally slammed by the netizens on social media. The ex-Philadelphia running back defended Jalen Hurts, the quarterback of the Eagles after his abysmal performances against the New York Jets. The QB had three interceptions against the Jets and they lost because of his abysmal performance. However, McCoy said that one bad game could not and should not judge Hurts’ abilities as a QB.
“Listen, Jalen Hurts played bad. He had a bad game, three turnovers, three picks, that’s a career half for him. The thing is, in this league, you get judged on how you play. How you keep play. If you have a bad game, I have been there, I had done that. So I understand,“ the analyst said on SPEAK on FS1.
Later, defending the quarterback, he said, “Did Jalen Hurts play a good game? No, he did not. He had a bad game. He lost us the game. Now one thing about Jalen Hurts is he always gets better. He always improves. I know for sure that in the next game he will play well.”
After his opinion on Hurts, the former player and the present-day analyst got brutally roasted. Netizens took the issue to Twitter and judged him for being biased over Jalen Hurts. They said that if any other QB would have done this, then the analyst would have gone mad.
Hurts was below par in the game vs the Jets. His interceptions had a pivotal role in achieving the miraculous victory for the Jets. Fans slammed him after the defeat on Twitter. They raised their fingers at his salary as well. This offseason, the player signed a mammoth deal of $275 million. They raised questions regarding his contract.
