At the start of the preseason training camp, left tackle for the Green Bay Packers, David Bakhtiari was on the PUP (Players Unavailable to Perform) but he has successfully managed to clear it and is now available for selection for week 1.

David Bakhtiari had suffered a horrendous ACL tear injury back in 2020 which ended that season early for him as well as affected the next. Bakhtiari had returned to the field in Week 18 last season which was his first game since suffering the knee injury way back in December of 2020.

The Green Bay Packers left tackle said that at the moment he’s just happy to be in this position and doesn’t want to get ahead of himself. David Bakhtiari said that he’s extremely excited to be available given all the circumstances he’s had to overcome to reach this position. The Green Bay Packers will be playing against the Vikings in week 1 and although there’s a slim possibility that David Bakhtiari will feature, head coach Matt LaFleur hasn’t ruled it out.

“I feel really confident. I felt confident the other times,” Bakhtiari said in an interview with Jason Wilde of Madison.com. “It’s just more what does the future hold? If you know the future, let me know so I know what I’m going to get myself into. I don’t want to get too ahead of myself. So right now, I’m pleased with where I’m at, and I’m excited to see what tomorrow brings. It’s been the journey I’ve had to attack, and I just know that I’m not going to break no matter what.

I know what I’m capable of, what I’m going to do, whenever that moment gives me that solace and that peace when I get to go back out there and play. I’m just excited.”
