The AFC Conference Finals concluded earlier today, and it ended with the Kansas City Chiefs taking home the win and earning themselves a ticket to the Super Bowl. The Baltimore Ravens put up a mediocre fight, but ultimately, their mistakes cost them dearly. Especially a 4th quarter interception of QB Lamar Jackson‘s crucial pass.
However, as is the case with nearly every NFL game, there was the issue of missed penalty calls on the part of the officiating referees. This game was no different.

Late in the 4th quarter, when Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense were attempting to orchestrate a comeback, the referees missed a blatant holding call on part of the Chiefs.
It was a crucial moment for the Ravens, as with under 3 minutes to go in the game, it was a 3rd & 5 play. Lamar Jackson needed to get the ball past the first down line. He found Isaiah Likely, the wide receiver, but could not complete the play.

Fans are not happy over missed holding calls on the Ravens
The issue here was not because Likely pulled a Kadarius Toney and dropped a key pass or that Lamar Jackson failed to complete the pass. The issue in this play was that Isaiah Likely was held by the defender and as a result, he fell over.

Fans were not happy with this missed penalty and took to X to vent their frustration out. Here’s what they had to say:
Swifties paid the refs…

UNBELIEVABLE. Even if they argue he wasn’t targeting Likely it’s still illegal contact.

With this win, Kansas City will look to go back-to-back in the Super Bowl. It has been far from a smooth season for the team this year, but they deserve credit as when they had to get their act straight and play the best football, the entire team did so.
