The news of Aqib Talib and his brother’s involvement in a fatal fight was still in the headlines when another former NFL player got involved in a fight in Texas again. In a video that’s going viral on the internet ESPN analyst and the Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin, ‘the Playmaker’ is seen trying to break up a fight in a Texas bar. Although Irvin seems to have tried his best to stop the fight, the fight continued. Irvin a 3 time Super Bowl champion with the Dallas Cowboys apparently arrived in town following his appearance in ESPN’s First Take.

Irvin enjoys quite a status in Texas based on his famed career as the Cowboys’ top wide receiver during their dream 3 Super Bowl-winning era which also earned him a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007. Irvin can now be seen debating with Stephen A. Smith on ESPN’s First Take defending his beloved Cowboys against a man who celebrates their failures like no other.

The video shows Irvin still in a Captain’s hat which he much earlier saw while he was in New York filming First Take. The video begins with Irvin talking to a man and hugging him which per witnesses was when he tried to calm things down but per witnesses and the New York Post the fight broke out because of the Playmaker.

The man Irvin hugged reportedly approached Irvin to try and take a picture with the Cowboys legend, and that’s when witnesses told TMZ that the man who was playing pool with Irvin shooed him off, which sparked the scuffle. Things looked calm after Irvin’s intervention but not for long that’s when bouncers had to come in. When that happened Irvin seemed to have decided to keep his distance from the chaos.
