Florida lawyer Adam Moskowitz, who is representing FTX investor Edwin Garrison in the lawsuit against the company’s founder, crypto billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried, believes that the big names associated with FTX can also be liable for causing damages worth billions. FTX, a cryptocurrency company suffered a big crash of nearly 70% as a result of which many renowned celebrities lost millions.
FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried has already filed for bankruptcy following the enormous drop. He was quick to issue a public apology admitting that he “F***ed up” as he stepped down as the CEO. Moskowitz shared insights into how big the losses are and also discussed how he has been battling Voyager for over a year. He put light on the fact that FTX going bankrupt means that the investors have to now incur a loss of $11 billion.
“We’ve been battling Voyager, which was the third-largest crypto company here in Miami for over a year. The end result was going to be that FTX was going to put in a billion dollars and give it to the victims of Voyager,” Moskowitz told Fox News. “What happened last week? FTX goes bankrupt. So they now have about $11 billion that they have taken from investors.”
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen could land in big trouble over FTX’s bankruptcy

Moskowitz further added that celebrities made a lot of money for promoting this product. Big names like Tom Brady, his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, NBA star Steph Curry, and Shaq could be held liable too according to Maskowitz for the losses. He explained how the system works and rightly held these people accountable.
“There are celebrities that made a lot of money and promoted this product. There’s case law right on point that unless you tell people you’re getting paid and how much you’re getting paid and what your incentive is, you can be liable,” he said.
As of now, many high profile celebrities including Tom Brady, Steph Curry, and Shaq have been sued for promoting FTX.
