Sometimes the best response is no response, ignorance is the key to contention and that’s what the Patriots GM Bill Belichick did when asked about the Dolphins tampering incident that occurred in 2019.
“Yeah, I’m not really worried about that,” the 70-year-old veteran said. “We’re just trying to have a good training camp here.”
Bill Belichick has a habit of shutting down reporters, though it is presumed that the coach is pissed at the Dolphins for approaching their star QB when he was under contract.
Twitter went into a frenzy after this and people were not surprised by the veteran’s response. ‘Classic Bill’ was some of the responses on the social media app.
While some went the sarcastic route to comment on the situation.

What was the tampering by Dolphins all about?
Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was fined $1.5 million and has been removed from all communities immediately for having ‘impermissible contacts’ with Tom Brady in 2019 who still was in his last year at the Patriots. They also tried to contact the seven-time super bowl winner in 2021 when he was with the Bucks.
The Dolphins were also stripped of two draft picks a first-round and a third-round selection. The NFL referred to Miami’s conduct as ‘tampering violations of unprecedented scope and severity. The league also found out in their investigation that the Dolphins also tried to contact the Saint’s coach Sean Payton.
Belichick has won six super bowls with the Patriots with his career spanning more than two decades. He’s super experienced when it comes to talking to reporters and has always been calm and composed in front of the camera.
