The San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle is a fun character. He is as jolly as he is dangerous. The All-Pro tight end has had a stellar career and is still adding to his legacy with the Niners. He helped his team reach the Super Bowl in the 2019 season but the Niners came up short against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Niners are contenders this season as well and Kittle is one of the reasons why.

Kittle has been happily married since 2019. He met his wife, Claire Kittle in college and since then, the couple have been going strong. The couple got engaged in 2018. Kittle’s proposal though, wasn’t very smooth. The Niners’ all-time leader in tight end receiving yards shared the story of his proposal on the latest episode of NFL Films. He revealed that he had to fight an injury to hear a ‘yes’ from his then-girlfriend.

I got the ring, planned it. I had this big trick. I told her that the 49ers were doing a couple’s photoshoot for the whole team and that I had to choose a place. I chose this beach just south of Santa Cruz. It would be really fun. It was a day after one of our preseason games. The tough thing was the preseason game. We’re playing the [Dallas] Cowboys and on the third play of the game, I got my knee taken out. I sprained my MCL and dislocated my shoulder on the same play. I walked off the field, I’m very proud of that.

He further said: 

So we do the whole photoshoot. We take a bunch of photos. The photographer is like, ‘I’m going to take a solo one of (Claire).’ I get behind her, I get down on one knee. And I’m literally on one knee for probably 30 seconds. ‘Please turn around. Please turn around.’ And she finally did.

The Niners have had an interesting season so far. They started the season on a bang, winning their first five games. However, they have hit a roadblock and have lost three games on the trot. They will hope to get back on track against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

George Kittle was fined for his ‘f*** Dallas’ t-shirt during the Niners’ week 5 game against the Cowboys

The San Francisco 49ers dismantled their rivals, the Dallas Cowboys during their week 5 matchup. After RB Jordan Mason scored a touchdown late in the game, the Niners’ TE George Kittle revealed a t-shirt in the endzone that read “F*** Dallas.” The star tight end was fined $13,659 for that.

Kittle said:

Probably to get a fine. I wore a personalized T-shirt, maybe an inappropriate word. So it is what it is. It was a decision I made. If they want to fine me, they fine me.

He further said that he would “one hundred percent do it again.”

After that game though, the Niners have failed to win a single game and have slipped to 5-3 after starting the season 5-0. Kittle has been good but the 49ers will hope to start winning again as soon as possible. Their next game is against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
