Kenny Pickett and the Pittsburgh Steelers improved to 4-4 on Thursday following a victory against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday in their week 9 matchup. In the game, the Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson had a great moment as he caught his first touchdown pass in two seasons. But, on the flip side, George Pickens looked angry at the sidelines as he had a terrible outing for the second week in a row.
With just 4 minutes left in the final quarter of the game, the Steelers were looking to erase a 4 point deficit and were facing a 1st and goal from the 3-yard line. During the crucial moment in the game, Kenny Pickett targeted the Steelers wideout Diontae Johnson, who completed the catch for a touchdown.

This was the first touchdown pass Johnson caught since week 17 of thr 2021 NFL season. He didn’t catch a single touchdown pass in the entire 2021 regular season. Johnson was ecstatic about his touchdown catch and celebrated it on the sidelines. But, instead of the celebration, fans took notice of a distorted George Pickens.
While Johnson and Calvin Austin III were celebrating the touchdown catch, Pickens could be seen visibly pissed off on the sideline bench just next to the other receivers celebrating the catch.
Pickens’ bad mood is reasonable since he is having a rough stretch of two weeks. The 2nd-year wide receiver had just one catch against the Jacksonville Jaguars in week 8 and on Thursday’s game, he just caught 2 passes for negative 1 yard. He also embarrassingly failed to get his foot down in bounds, which erased a 32-yard touchdown catch.
Nonetheless, the Steelers ended up winning the close game against the Titans, on the back of a solid game from Diontae Johnson, who caught 7 passes for 90 yards and 1 touchdown.
Social media unhappy with George Pickens
The Steelers wideout George Pickens looking p**sed off on the sideline while his team was celebrating Diontae Johnson’s touchdown catch did not sit well with fans on social media. Pickens was probably upset about his own performance in the game, but fans thought he was upset about not getting targets.

Check out some of the reactions attached below.
Anyhow, the Steelers ended up winning the close game in the final seconds, on the back of a goal-line interception by Pittsburgh’s linebacker Kwon Alexander. Next, they will host the Green Bay Packers in their week 10 game.
