The NFL is one of the most profitable sports leagues in the Country and gets in billions of dollars in revenue. The players playing in the league are also one of the highest earners in the sports world.

The debate regarding artificial turf vs regular grass fields has been brewing quite a lot recently. The turf fields play a primary part in the player’s health and fitness, and many injuries are caused due to turf fields.

Currently, 14 of the 30 stadiums in the country have artificial turf in their fields. However, the players and fans want the league to switch all the turf fields into real grass as it is better for running. Shifting from artificial turf to real grass can be a costly move. Converting all the surfaces can cost the league somewhere upwards of $12 million. However, this can be a pocket change for the league as they rake in billions of dollars every year.

Many players are calling for a ban on artificial turf and want to play on real grass. Raiders DT Jermaine Eluemunor was furious over this issue and decided to tweet regarding the same. “The NFL needs to make it a mandatory rule that every team should have grass instead of turf,” Eluemunor said in his recent tweet.

The NFL has a tough decision on their hand as they certainly need to decide if artificial turf is better than grass fields or vice versa. However, that didn’t stop people from criticizing them.

It is no secret that the NFL rakes in billions of dollars in revenue. Therefore, many are astounded as to why the league doesn’t want to invest in legit grass fields that are way more beneficial to the players than artificial turf.

While there were also some who criticized the people for keeping money for themselves and not spending it for the welfare of the players. There may be countless reasons why the league isn’t adopting grass fields and not everyone is aware of those reasons.

The NFL has taken no decision yet regarding the artificial turf situation. However, there are chances that the league will take it into notice after constant scrutiny from the people and the players.
