“God’s Plan” Damarea Crockett is devastated by his season long injury

The biggest adversary to an athlete is injury. An injury can make or break your career and it’s, even more, destroying when it’s an ACL injury. Damarea Crockett was the newest victim of this injury, he suffered a torn ACL on Tuesday which put him out for the whole season.

The young RB was looking forward to a career-defining season but God had other plans. WR Tim Patrick also tore his ACL the same day, seems like it was a bad day for training at the Broncos camp.

Damarea Crockett was signed by the Texans in 2019 as an undrafted free agent whereas Patrick is the more experienced one whos been at the Broncos for more than 3 years. He also has managed to get 2,009 yards with 12 touchdowns.

What’s next for the Denver Bronco’s?

The Broncos are short of two offensive players before the season has even started. Though there is a silver lining, the Broncos have the offseason to try out different players to fill the empty positions.

Broncos also have KJ Hamler coming back from the PUP list who can fill up Patrick’s position but not sure if he can thrive in that position. The Broncos have players on the roster that can hopefully step up.

After Patrick left practice, the offense continued to get their receivers involved with multiple reps featuring Trey Quinn, Kendall Hinton, Brandon Johnson, Travis Fulgham, and rookie standout Montrell Washington.” Cody Roark said in his camp recap today.

The Broncos also have acquired the marquee signing Russell Wilson so they will need reinforcements upfront to support the player.

Seattle Seahawks will be the first team they face in week 1 of Monday night football and hopefully will be looking to beat them.
